WANDERING through the woods, the summer sun filters down through the trees gently kissing your skin. Between the trees small peaks start to emerge, floating effortlessly above solid rocky foundations. As the sun sets and couples return from their adventures they pick fresh herbs out of their planters as they prepare for dinner, nestled in their outdoor patios. Venturing closer to the center of the community families are organising barbecues with their neighbours and the sintilating smoke drifts through the trees. Bikers and pedestrians mill the paths through the crops and orchards, beneath a canopy of high efficiency photovoltaic cells.
With weary legs you reach your house, which begs you to come inside into its cozy interior. The house is flooded with a warm pink glow throught the glass facade. Open and airy, you are connected to the buzzing community outside, still tempting you out with the aroma of cooking food.
Upon returning from a fulfilling meal of fresh bread and portebello burgers, you retire into the deptsh out the house, encapsulating you in a stoney and protective warmth. Lying down lookin up at the tent-like peak above you slowly drift off, preparing for tomorrow's adventure.

SUSTAINABILITY
Community involvement is the route to a healthy sustainable community. Sightlines achives this from the moment it breaks ground with locals responsible for creating the glazed tiles for the interior walls. They are further involved through the community gardens and cooking courses offered on campus. These acts create a pride of ownership enabling Sightlines to thrive long into the future.
The link between arts and the people was also important with informal performance areas on teraces and in the old “Gaol Yard.” These unique areas are patched together by the meandering path through the sculpture gardens that raise an awareness for local artists, providing a sustainable network of support moving forward.
