EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
May 2023 to August 2023; September 2023 - Present Office of Mcfarlane Biggar Architects and Designers, Vancouver, British Columbia
Role: Architectural Co-Op
Working alongside a principal I created a feasibility report for the renovation of the TransLink Stadium Chinatown SkyTrain Station. As part of this exercise, I diagramed and studied the site before compiling and organizing the report. I also took a lead role in developing an emerging design direction based on the report’s findings.
In a group of four I created multiple floor plan options and associated demising wall/mullion details for a micro unit hotel feasibility study for a mixed occupancy adaptive reuse tower in Victoria, BC. I successfully created a presentation including these drawing that we then presented to the hotel manager and clients.
Individually, I designed and built a presentation model of the Lansdowne Presentation Centre. I effectively experimented with different materials and techniques to capture the building and landscaping.
In a group of three I researched sprinkler code (NFPA 13), acoustic panel systems and documented the existing condition of the SFU education building to create a design proposal to improve reverberation times and privacy in offices and classrooms.

Role: Architectural Co-Op
Alone I designed and coordinated a small office renovation. Tasks included sourcing products, communicating with the client and engineers, and writing specifications.
In a small group, I helped designed facades and interior layouts to accomodate for clients demands while still achieving our goal of design excellence.
I created a construction drawing set for a local TCHC heritage building with a colleague.
With the help of a colleague, we created and updated drawings and graphics using the Revit and the Adobe Suite to submit to the Canadian Architect Award.
January 2022 to April 2022 Giovanni Tassone Architecture, Toronto, Ontario

Through provided classes and collaboration with colleagues, became adept in Revit, Autocad and Autodesk Construction Cloud to aid in the design and refinement of ongoing projects.
Worked on time-sensitive projects for Daniels Corp. and Marlin Spring, being flexible and efficient to design and updating drawings for deadlines.
Involved in developing the Smithfield Residence project from its conception, making several design decisions to create a sensitive and efficient family home.
Gained experience interacting with clients by joining meetings with Marlin Spring and actively discussing the Smithfield residence with the family to create iterations that align with their goals.
